Our caravan of love is underway!
Calling all lovers to join in this inspired adventure filled
with Sufi music and lore, dance and turning!


This journey is for you if you want to live Rumi's message, deepen your spiritual practice and enjoy it more. We are served the rich histories, music, dance, yoga, Sufi lore and teachings from Rumi and other Sufis to open us to living from the Heart. We will immerse ourselves in the world of Jalal-e-din Rumi: standing in his footsteps where he taught, traveled, found inspiration and passed in his 'wedding night'.

Our guide for this journey is Master Musician and Mevlevi Sufi Sheikh, Oruc Guvenc, who is known for spontaneous music making and whirling. With him we are given the key, the access to places, special concerts and ritual ceremonies that are not normal tourist fare. Oruc Baba will lead us in a number of Sema or Whirling Ceremonies, zikr (chanting), sohbet (Sufi teachings) and Ilahi music concerts with his impeccable ensemble.

We will experience many of Turkey's mystical destinations including the first school of the Mevlevis (the followers of Rumi) in Afyon and the tomb of Haji Nasreddin (Nasruddin Hoca). We will witness the traditional Shebi Arus Sema (Wedding Night Whirling Ceremony) in Konya, visit the tomb and school of Jalal-e-din Rumi and of Shams, and many other sacred sites.

And, of course we scheduled in dance and turning classes with Banafsheh along the way.

Our pilgrimage sojourns to:
Istanbul, Yalova, Ankara, Konya, Capadoccia, Kurban Bayran, Afyon and Kutaliya

This total pamper-package, friends includes:
Lodging, all meals, all travel within Turkey, dance & turning classes, regular Rumi poetry gatherings, inclusion to Oruc Baba's music concerts, participation in Sema & ritual ceremonies, soak in an ancient Turkish bath house, and occasional get-aways for shopping and explore time.

$1750 (1250 Euro) if you reserve your place by October 27th.
After this date, the rate will rise to $2000 (1430 Euro).
As our organization is a CA Non-Profit, your payment is tax deductible.

You cover your own travel expenses to and from Turkey, but we help book your round-trip flight to Turkey, from anywhere, to your preference, free of charge, at the lowest possible fare.
